Premier Sydney Music Venue For Sale
By Annette Shailer and Rebecca Harris
Following the death of one of its owners, one of Sydney’s premier nightclubs - Oxford Art Factory - has been put up for sale.
Located in Darlinghurst, the popular nightclub and live entertainment venue opened in August 2007 and has been the site of many top acts, including the Black Eyed Peas, The Living End, Wolfmother and Jimmy Barnes.
The unique venue features two separate multi-purpose entertainment spaces, two fully-serviced bars, art gallery space, live-act stage, backstage area, high¬-quality sound and lighting systems, cool room, cellar, storage space and amenities.
Colliers International has been appointed as selling agent and investment sales executive of hotels and leisure, Colin Revelman, will market the venue. He said live music spots usually have longer staying power than DJ driven nightspots.
“A top quality live music venue such as the Oxford Art Factory is a rarity in Sydney and will create strong interest in the entertainment investment market, particularly as the property is being sold as a freehold going concern with strong existing income,” he said.
Oxford Art Factory will be included in the Colliers International Autumn Auction Portfolio 09, to be held on April 2.
