Sydney Icon Changes Hands

Iconic Sydney venue, the Cauliflower Hotel, will trade under new owners from tomorrow (Jan 19).

New licensee, Denis Hickey, said they were delighted to be continuing the operation of the pub.

“This is an exciting time for the business and the area in particular, as residential and corporate development is going from strength to strength," he said. 

"We look forward to being involved with our regulars and also welcoming our new customers.” 

Open since 1838, the venue is uniquely and prominently located with two street frontages on the corner of Botany Road and Wellington Street, Waterloo.

The venue was previously run by fifth-generation hotelier William Ryan.
