Sydney Foodies Welcome Expo

By Annette Shailer

The FSA Expo 2010, incorporating tradeshows FoodService Australia and Bakery Australia, will begin on June 21 at Darling Harbour’s Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The three-day expo will feature more than a 100 exhibitors from across the foodservice industry including Nestle, Cerebos, Unilever and Moffat.

Foodservice Suppliers Association Australia CEO, Vince Crawley, said that the FSA Expo focuses specifically on the key sectors of Australian foodservice.

“FSA Expo is backed by the Foodservice Suppliers Association Australia and we have worked closely with the event organisers to ensure the promotion, marketing, exhibitor list and attendance embraces the full spectrum of our industry,” he said.

“We’re extremely committed to the show which has been carefully designed so that the exhibitors get to talk to their potential customers and the attendees get to experience the full range of what Australian foodservice is all about."

With a full program of events from live chef challenges and baking competitions to the inaugural ‘Can We Talk’ seminar series, the expo is sure to draw a crowd.

The ‘Can We Talk’ seminar series will feature sessions across the three days, with each session consisting of a panel of industry experts facilitated by a well-known foodservice spokesperson.

Event director, Robby Clark, said that they were hoping to go build on the impressive 2008 FSA Expo, which attracted more than 9000 qualified foodservice and bakery buyers.

"We're looking forward to presenting an FSA Expo for 2010 that will provide a comprehensive showcase of the very best the Australian foodservice industry has to offer,” he said.

“Attendees can expect to see all the latest innovations in food and beverage, bakery, coffee, hospitality, equipment, fitout and decor, furnishings and support services, with an exhibitor list compromising the 'who's who of foodservice'."
