Delegates from the Australian Liquor Stores Association (ALSA) conference have headed home this morning (Aug 27) after another successful event.

More than 200 retailers and suppliers spent the week at the Sheraton Mirage on the Gold Coast where they heard from key stakeholders in the retail liquor industry including Michael Walton from Nielsen, Diageo Australia managing director, Tim Salt, Lion Nathan Australia managing director, James Brindley, Carlton & United Breweries sales director, Peter Cantwell, DrinkWise CEO, Cath Peachey and sporting legend Max Walker.

Throughout the week delegates were encouraged to think outside the box when running their business, with ALSA president, Mal Higgs, telling TheShout that feedback from retailers had been extremely positive and many were excited to get back to their business and implement the many strategies thet had learned during the week.

ALSA announced this week that next year's conference will be taking place at the Burswood Entertainment Complex in Perth.
