The 2011 Restaurant & Catering Awards, for the Sydney Metropolitan category were held on Monday (Sept 19), with Hugos Bar Pizza and Bavarian Bier Café amongst those recognised for their excellence.
The Bavarian Bier Café York received the Best Beer Café award, Jimmy Liks received the Best Modern Asian Restaurant award and 3 Weeds Hotel received the Best Restaurant in a Pub award.
Other winners included Felix, which received the Best New Restaurant Award and Café Pacifico, which was recognised as the Best Mexican Restaurant.
Hugos Bar Pizza won ‘Best Pizza Restaurant' award, which was won the previous year by its sister venue, Hugos Manly, with the Hugos Group also receiving the ‘Best Small Caterer' award.
"I am very proud to receive these awards. The staff we have at Hugos at the moment are the best ever,” Hugos Group co-owner, Dave Evans, says.
“Whether they are at one of our venues or at a catering event, the service and their professional approach is second to none, and for this I thank them all for a great year.”
