Bundaberg rum is honouring the three men who founded the Bundaberg Distillery, releasing a limited edition premium rum for the Christmas market.
Aged for five years, Bundaberg Founding Fathers Rum is a tribute to Frederic Buss, A.P Barton, and F.L Nott who, in 1894, saved the distillery from liquidation.
Only 4500 cases of the rum have been produced, with each bottle individually numbered.
“The Founding Fathers Rum is a one-off, never-to-be repeated special release that will see Bundaberg rum-lovers clamouring for their own keepsake or for the perfect Christmas gift,” said Bundaberg marketing manager, Diageo Australia, Matt Bruhn.
“Our top off-premise accounts will benefit from a small but exclusive allocation and we are tipping they will not last long on retailer shelves. Founding Fathers release will aim to boost the rum category over the buoyant Christmas trading period.”
Bundaberg’s Founding Fathers Rum will retail for RRP $39.99 and will be available to trade from November.
