Robert Oatley Vineyards will take over the Australian distribution rights of Charles Heidsieck Champagne from Suntory Australia.

The distribution arrangement, which becomes effective at the beginning of September, follows three years of distribution under Suntory Australia.

Cécile Bonnefond, president of Charles Heidsieck Champagne said that while the company’s association with Suntory Australia had been successful, the Champagne producer "believes that the move to a more wine-focused partner will be to Charles Heidsieck's advantage".

"We have exciting plans for Charles Heidsieck in the coming months, and we look forward to working closely with the team at Robert Oatley Vineyards to make these Champagnes more accessible to Australia's discerning consumers," said Bonnefond.

Robert Oatley Vineyards CEO, Anthony Roberts, said that the company is looking forward to rolling out the portfolio to the on and off-premise Australian markets.

"We take great honour in being able to represent these wonderful Champagnes and being able to make them accessible to our customers and to their Champagne connoisseurs," Roberts said.

"We are excited about sharing the Australian market plans for Charles Heidsieck with our customers over the coming weeks."
