A story published on Monday (Jun 22) about Malibu’s ‘Get Your Island On’ competition incorrectly credited Bacardi for pledging to send the winners to Barbados.

The million-dollar, three-month campaign comprised a consumer component and a trade component, the latter of which saw 50 venues across Australia promote Malibu Rum through Malibu Sunday Session events, finding new ways to serve Malibu to patrons and by generating increases in the spirit’s sales.

The trade component was won by Collaroy Beach Hotel events coordinator Louise Topalov.
