GENERAL MANAGER
Located in Brisbane's northern suburbs with 8 bars, 350 seat restaurant, 1000 sqm liquor retail outlet, 600 seat two level function and entertainment area, large gaming and TAB areas Eaton's Hill Hotel (opening February 2011) will be one of the hottest and largest destination venues in Australia.
Joining an experienced team from a successful private family company the initial role will be to assist bring the business into operation with all new management and staff to meet the expectations of the hype surrounding the opening of this venue. Once the hotel areas are established the general manager will assist with the phasing in and development of the formal function and entertainment levels. Ultimately the general manager will take full day to day control ensuring all facets of the hotel are developed to their full potential and profitability.
To succeed in this position you will have 5 years experience in a similar managerial role including:
- Successfully leading and developing a large team to attain outstanding service levels and to achieve agreed departmental targets
- Venue marketing and promotion
- Understanding the diverse product styles across all food and beverage offerings
- Organising live entertainment including touring bands
- Focused on patron and staff safety
- Strong work ethic and able to work as part of a team
- Hotel computer system literate
- Exposure to conferences, weddings, trade shows, banquets
- Exposure to night club operation
- Any relevant tertiary qualifications will be highly regarded
