A new ginger liqueur will be added to the Australian liquor market, with the launch of Domaine de Canton French ginger liqueur at an exclusive event tonight (Sep 21).

The launch, to be held at Goldfish, Kings Cross, coincides with a week-long visit by its creator John Cooper.

Made from ginger root, honey, vanilla and ginseng, Domaine de Canton is a Congac-based liqueur that can be used in cocktails or enjoyed over ice.

The liqueur will be distributed by locally-owned liquor distribution company Think Spirits, whose managing director Patrick Borg is confident of the brand’s potential.

“Bartenders in the United States love this brand and will no doubt capture the imagination of bartenders here in Australia,” he said.

Think Spirits’ portfolio includes Sagatiba cachaca, Martin Millers gin, English Harbour rum and the colourful Pama pomegranate liqueur.
