Coles Liquor last week unveiled Liquorland Warehouse, a new Sydney trial store that will provide the company with an active retail space to test new innovation in liquor retailing.

The trial outlet is located at 448 Rocky Point Road, San Souci and was previously branded as a Liquorland.

"This store has been reformatted into a Liquorland Warehouse to deliver greater value and an overall enhanced customer experience," a Liquorland spokesperson told TheShout.

"The opening of this store saw hundreds of customers experience the new format and we will continue to test and listen to customers to ensure we continue to evolve this site in line with what our customers want." [continues below]

According to Intellectual Property Australia records, the Liquorland Warehouse trademark was lodged on March 19 this year.

The development comes after Coles Liquor general manager of marketing, Cameron Macfarlane said late last year that the retailer was trialling at least three new Liquorland store formats at different locations across the country.

"Each is pretty different, but each will contribute to the new format that will be rolled out nationally," he told TheShout.

"It's great because it gives you the opportunity to tweak and try some different things and be a bit more bullish."
