Blue Sky Brewery is to unlock its doors for the first time in the Cairns CBD tomorrow, bringing homegrown Cairns beer back to the city after a 15 year absence.

The venue started brewing two weeks ago with the bar, restaurant and function rooms opening to the public tomorrow.

There will be six handcrafted brews created on-site available in bottles and on-tap, including Cairns Gold, True Blue Stout,
Woody Ale and FNQ Lager.

The brewery is the hard work of co-owner and tourism identity Charlie Woodward, brew master Hayden Mokaraka, and co-owner and licensee Ben Newman.

Managment will offer daily tours of the German-built brewery system.
