Perth has welcomed an exciting new venue from WA pub king Geoff Hayward, with The Boulevard Hotel opening in Floreat.

The venue has undergone a $4 million transformation under the guidance of owner Hayward and the team behind the multi-award winning venue, The Brisbane Hotel.

With the vision to breathe fresh life into the venue, make better use of and improve the flow throughout the space and re-fit with style and substance, Hayward and partners have created a new corner pub classic.

“We wanted to build a hotel that was more reflective of its community now, with a nod also to its past and pub roots,” Hayward said.

“Our vision was to create a relaxed, welcoming and beautiful place to enjoy fresh, simple food and a great selection of wine and beer.

“We’ve taken the experience forward in terms of innovations in design, quality of furniture and fittings and improvements in service, food and wine.

“But you will still be able to enjoy a great steak sandwich with a cold beer in a shady beer garden.”

The Boulevard Hotel showcases impressive design detail with an inviting, earthy feel throughout.

The hotel has been designed by Taylor Robinson architects, Tim Davies Landscaping and Network Interiors, which did the refit.

The executive chef, Anthony Schell, has created a simple, fresh menu, with European and Italian influences, fitting with the area’s Italian heritage.

Taking the helm as general manager is Paul Maley, whose passion for wine is reflected in the expansive and well-informed list, which features more than 40 wines by the glass.

The pub has taken a progressive step by featuring smoke-free dining and drinking in the alfresco area.
