Bluzou Bar, located at the basement level of 26 Queen Street in Perth’s CBD, has opened as the city’s newest specialist vodka bar.

The site was formerly occupied by the 1907 cocktail bar, but new owners Jeff Grubisa and Rob Giordani have completely refurbished the bar with handcrafted design features including silver travertine feature walls, polished concrete and copper feature panels.

“Bluzou seeks to create an environment where people will feel comfortable enjoying a drink and good food in intimate surrounds,” bar manager Harold Fazal said.  “Our award winning Chef Alan Desouza from 1907 will be offering a signature menu in a format which suits the bar’s clientele.

“There’s a selection of vodka infused dishes which are designed to be paired with one or more of the 20 or so off the shelf vodkas on offer, or one of the house made infusions which include vodka flavoured with salted caramel, bacon or lavender.  We’ll have a point of difference, keeping away from the exposed timber and brick look, incorporating materials and lighting with a ‘wow’ factor along with custom crafted items rather than off the shelf fabricated fixtures,” he added.

Bluzou will be open from 11am till 12am Tuesday though to Friday, and 5pm till 12am on Saturday. The bar is closed on Sundays and Mondays.
