Beam Inc is throwing its weight behind its Skinnygirl Cocktails range, kicking off a national media campaign with the brand's creator, Bethenny Frankel. 

The former 'Real Housewife' from New York City arrived in Australia this week to launch the campaign for Skinnygirl, which was first released in Australia in 2011. [continues below]

The range includes the Skinnygirl Margarita which contains 82 calories per 100ml and the Skinnygirl White Cranberry Cosmo, containing 78 calories per serve. 

"We're really looking forward to seeing the effect that Bethenny's trip to Australia will have on the brand," said Steve Inch, managing director for Beam Global Oceania. 

"Bethenny is the ultimate brand champion. For years she's built a loyal following in the US and beyond, driving passion and excitement for Skinnygirl," he said.

"We're confident that putting the spotlight on Bethenny's intrinsic association with association with Skinnygirl Cocktails will significantly increase demand for the brand in this market."
