Victoria Bitter has recorded its second consecutive quarter of sales growth since its relaunch in October last year, according to parent company SABMiller.

In its full-year trading update released yesterday, SABMiller said the reversal of VB's decade of decline underpinned growth of three per cent in its Australian lager volumes last quarter.

"Our premium brands also continued to perform well in the final quarter," the company said.

"Full-year volumes were lower by five per cent on a pro forma continuing basis, while total volumes, including discontinued brands were 13 per cent down."

Lager volumes in the Asia Pacific region grew by six per cent for the year on an organic basis with growth of 12 per cent in the fourth quarter.
