Hill-Smith Family Estates has announced that Kiera Grant is now the new Chair of its Board of Directors as After ten years as Chairman, fifth-generation proprietor Robert Hill-Smith moves to preside over the company’s new Family Council.

Hill-Smith will remain on the company’s Board as Deputy Chair.

Grant has served as a Non-Executive Director on the Hill-Smith Family Estates Board since 2014 and having completed her term as Chair of the People Committee she now Chairs the Risk and Audit Committee.

The family said that Grant’s s strategic insight, financial expertise, government acumen and executive leadership will continue to serve Hill-Smith Family Estates well.

Robert said: “Kiera has served with distinction and enthusiasm on our Board, and I am thrilled that she has accepted our invitation to become Chair.

“We look forward to the future under Kiera’s guidance as a wine enthusiast and an eminently qualified professional who is committed to our family business,” said Hill-Smith.

In its statement about Grant’s appointment, the family said she has had a distinguished 20-year executive career in Investment Banking, mostly at UBS Australia. For the last 15 years, she has served as a Director for a range of ASX-listed companies.

Currently she is a Non-Executive Director of Adairs Limited and Future Generation Global Investment Company Limited. Kiera is a Trustee of the Art Gallery of New South Wales Trust and is the sole Independent Director of Perennial Partners, a house of specialist fund managers.

Kiera holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney, is a member of CEW and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
