City Country Hotel Management (CCHM) has acquired the Railway Junction Hotel in Dubbo, the pub group’s fourth hotel purchase in 12 months.
Gerry Quinlan of Manenti Quinlan brokered the deal for the central west pub in a transaction that was concluded last week.
Born and bred hotelier Emma Meijer is the sole financier of all four properties owned by CCHM, which she runs together with her husband Josh, who brings a strong grounding in food and beverage operations.
The Meijers cemented themselves as bar and gaming entrepreneurs in the Sydney hub of Surry Hills. Emma was the general manager of the well-established Crown Hotel, which gained a place within the state’s top 100 gaming venues during the decade she was at the helm.
She purchased the nearby Whitehorse Hotel in December 2012, subsequently adding The Hotel Orange and The Coachman Hotel Parkes to CCHM’s stable.
“Subdividing the longstanding, age-old Hotel Orange into three separate businesses – each with entirely different branding has made a bold and revitalising statement to night life in the central west,” CCHM said.
“Swanky cocktails at the hip Summers Bar, an award-acclaimed chef at Italian-cuisine-based Arancina, and the latest in gaming service have brought new life to a once tired and run-down pub.”
Well done!! Very well done.. looking forward to the fifth venue as well….
