James Squire beer last night (Dec 15) opened a brand-new concept bar in Tasmania.

The fifth of its kind, but the first for the southern state, local celebrities gathered to witness chief brewer Chuck Hahn officially open the doors of The Squire’s Bounty, located on Hobart’s harbour foreshore.

Offering the full range of James Squire craft beers on tap, as well as local food and beer and food matching experiences, Hahn said he was looking forward to welcoming Hobart’s locals to the new venture.

The Squire’s Bounty will be operated by Paul Jubb, President of the Tasmanian Australian Hotels Association (AHA) and has been named specifically to recognise Hobart’s naval history and William Bligh’s mutinous voyage on-board the HMS Bounty in 1788.

He, too, said he was looking forward to venue’s future.

James Squire is one of Australia’s leading craft beers. Its range includes Original Amber Ale, Golden Ale, Sundown Lager, Pilsener, India Pale Ale and Porter.
