Red Island Marketing said it was encouraged by the industry’s response to its apple and pear flavours, confirming that Strawberry & Lime Cider would be a permanent addition to the portfolio.

The semi-sweet cider has an alcohol content of 4.0 percent ABV and is imported to Australia from a family-owned brewery in Vimmerby, Sweden.

Available in 500ml bottles, the Strawberry & Lime Cider is best served over ice, with the option of adding fresh mint leaves and fresh ripe strawberries.

“Rekorderlig Ciders are like biting into the seasons freshest fruits,” said Red Island director Patrick Ale.

“Given the success of the Apple and Pear among both males and females aged 22 – 35, Rekorderlig’s Strawberry & Lime Cider will be the hottest drink of the season.”

Rekorderlig is also in the process of introducing their new premium glassware to the Australian market.

The stylish, innovative and frosted glassware has been designed to enforce the brands main message of the ‘perfect serve’.

The branded high-ball glasses are ideal when chilled and half-filled with crushed or cubes of ice, before pouring in your favoured cider.

Glassware will be available on promotional multi-buys through all major wholesale channels from December 2010.
