Wineries of the world are looking to Hong Kong this November, as the city gears up to host the 2012 Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) International Wine and Spirits Fair.

The event is of particular interest for Australian wineries, as the growing Asian wine market offers continues to open up excellent export opportunities.

More than 40 Australian wineries have already booked places at the show, which is expected to attract over 900 exhibitors from 37 countries and regions.

Last year's show attracted more than 19,000 trade buyers from 71 countries, with this year's event expected to draw even bigger crowds in the wake of Asia's increasing interest in both old and new world wines.

The Hong Kong International Wine and Spirits Fair runs from 8 to 10 November at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

For information on exhibiting or visiting the Fair, contact Toni Wade, HKTDC marketing manager on 02 8986 2809 or toni.wade@hktdc.org.
