crowdDJ® is a modern-day jukebox that empowers the crowd to engage with and personalise a venue’s music offering in real time. Powered by Nightlife Music, and backed by Spotify, the world’s largest and most successful music streaming service of its kind, this technology is poised to revolutionise venue entertainment nationwide.

Accessed via a mobile device or in-venue kiosk, crowdDJ® allows users to DJ the party, by selecting a song from the Nightlife Music system or linking their Spotify to request their favourite music. Venue-goers can also save the venue’s playlist, or a newly discovered song, to their Spotify account to relive the experience at home.

Key players within the hospitality and music industries were the first to experience crowdDJ® in action at the official after-party of the 2016 Pub Leader’s Summit in Sydney last month.

“If customers are as excited, and use (crowdDJ®) like we did at the launch, it’s a no brainer…it’s an industry game changer”, says Trent Fairweather, from the multi-award winning Star Hotel Sale.

Veteran publican and owner of the White Bull Hotel in Armidale, Pat Gurr  agrees, “Anything that keeps punters in the bar for longer works for me, especially something that allows us to tap into people’s own personal devices.”

“We have always been early adopters of Nightlife’s technology and are very excited about how crowdDJ® will fit into our venue…after seeing crowdDJ® in action at the launch we're keen to see what our customers think," he says.

David O’Rourke, CEO of Nightlife Music explained on the night that crowdDJ® invites your customers to contribute, but equally ensures the brand you’ve worked so hard to establish remains intact.

Frank Tucker of Urban Purveyor Group echoed this saying “We run high quality venues designed to deliver unforgettable experiences – I think crowdDJ® fits perfectly into this equation because of that moment when our customers get to hear their favourite song – without our music being compromised”

Already operating in over 250 venues nationally as part of a beta testing phase, this new music network will expand to over 1,000 venues by spring 2016 and includes gyms, pubs, bars and other leisure outlets.

Existing Nightlife Music customers on the Enterprise Solution can activate crowdDJ® now. To do so, or for more information about crowdDJ® in your venue, please call Nightlife Music on 1800 679 748.
