Porter's Liquor Group and Sydney-based wine importer Decante This have confirmed a distribution deal with family-owned Burgundy winery Aegerter.

Porter's Liquor general manager Giuseppe Minissale told TheShout the distribution deal will provide Porter's members with the opportunity to access a range of well-priced Burgundy wines, which will receive secondary distribution through Decante This.

The distribution agreement was confirmed at the recent Hong Kong Wines & Spirits Exhibition earlier this month after several years of negotiations.

"We are looking to working with Daryl Fisher and the team on this exciting venture. It has taken a long time to pull this together, but is a good deal and a great point of difference for Porters and its customers," Minissale said.

Aegerter Asia Sales Manager, Guillaume Fraissinet, told TheShout this agreement follows several years of discussions and will therefore represent a long term strategy to develop his brand in the Australian market.

"We are happy to be working with Porter's and Decante This. Our agreement follows three years of working together and I look forward to coming to Australia annually to hold events for sommeliers and the trade. We are committed to this relationship and look forward to developing a long term relationship," Fraissinet said.
