The Wine Society of Australia is once again looking for nominees for the Young Winemaker of the Year Awards.

The prestigious awards, now in its tenth year, recognises young winemakers who have shown aptitude in producing first class wines.

Producers from Australia and New Zealand are eligible.

Winemakers under the age of 30 can nominate themselves or a colleague to be in contention for three awards – Young Winemaker of the Year, Wine Society’s Members Choice and Sommelier's Choice.

This year’s awards night will see the finalists from the last 10 years returning to the stage along with special guest, wine connoisseur Matt Skinner.

Nominations close Friday 27 August, with the winner to be announced at an awards dinner on 12 November.
