One patron has struck it rich at Beachmere Hotel in Queensland’s Moreton Bay region, winning the $2.09 million Keno jackpot.
This is not the first time that this has happened at the hotel, with another Keno jackpot of over $2 million being won at Beachmere Hotel four years ago.
Keno spokesperson David Dicker was ecstatic for the local who won big.
“What a great story and what a great place to play Keno.”
This most recent jackpot has solidified Beachmere Hotel’s reputation as a lucky pub, after a string of jackpots having been won at the pub in the last twelve months. A $155,616 9-number jackpot was won on 8 November last year, a $10,025 9-out-of-10 jackpot was handed out on 6 February, and a $33,616 7-number bonus jackpot was given away on 24 February. There have also been another two major wins of over $250,000 in the last three years.
Robert Comiskey, director of the Beachmere Hotel was very happy for all of the winners, including this most recent winner of $2 million.
“We are big advocates of gambling responsibly but with odds like this, if you were feeling lucky it would make a lot of sense to try out your luck.”
The pub will be throwing a ‘Jackpot Winner Celebration’ party this Saturday from 2pm in the sports bar.
