ALH Group has expanded its presence in Perth with the acquisition of Tavern @ The Rocks.
The large-format hotel, overlooking the Two Rocks Marina in northern Perth, was sold to ALH Group by a private consortium of three families. The price remains undisclosed.
The pub sits on a 2864 sqm site, and adjoins the local shopping centre which is anchored by IGA and other specialty retail stores. Tavern @ The Rocks has a license to hold over 900 people and its offering includes a large TAB, function room, terrace, restaurant dining, lounge bar, beer garden and public bar.
Ryan McGinnity of CBRE Hotels, who led the campaign alongside Chloe Mason, said that the hotel was a good investment for ALH as the area grows.
“A great longer term purchase for ALH. While some operational changes can be made immediately, the real revenue growth will come as the population of the northern beachside suburbs rapidly increases on the back of freeway and rail extensions creating better links back to the CBD.”
The hotel is located close to the residential estates of Yanchep, Eglinton and Alkimos – all new suburbs projected to have some of the fastest growth in population in Perth, thanks to the State Government’s commitment to extended infrastructure.
This is the second piece of good news for ALH in Perth in recent weeks, after winning a long-term battle to proceed with plans of expansion at Como Hotel.
Tavern @ The Rocks joins a significant stable of venues for ALH in Western Australia, with 21 venues in the greater Perth area alone.
