The Pub Leaders Summit has had additional speakers confirmed to the program, including industry heavy-hitters and entertainment trailblazers.

The Pub Leaders Summit, brought to you by Australian Hotelier and Coca-Cola, has filled out its program with additional speakers from within pub operations as well as thought leaders outside of it. The conference will take place on Monday 21 July at Eatons Hill Hotel in Brisbane.

Among other respected operators, joining the program are Mark Condi, CEO of Duxton Pubs; Stephen Wools, co-founder of Ballers Clubhouse Australia; Sabrina Medcalf, group operations and entertainment manager for Odd Culture Group; and Julie-Anne Whitfield, workplace program manager for R U OK?.

Mark Condi joined Duxton Pubs in January 2024 as CEO, bringing extensive experience in the hospitality industry. Prior to this, he was Group General Manager – Commercial at Merivale and spent several years as CEO of Bankstown Sports Club, where he led significant growth and development. Mark is passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences and building high-performing, engaged teams. Known for his strategic insight, operational excellence, and people-focused leadership, he continues to drive innovation and success across Duxton’s expanding pub portfolio.

With a focus on creating new F&B offerings within the existing Duxton Pubs portfolio, Mark will be joining the panel on New F&B Opportunities in 2025 and Beyond.

Stephen Wools

Steve Wools is an Australian entrepreneur and hospitality visionary reshaping culture one unforgettable experience at a time. Stephen’s flair for crafting magnetic spaces led to a string of iconic cocktail bars, each bursting with character. Now, as the founder of Ballers Clubhouse—a game-changing fusion of sport, nightlife, and high-end hospitality—Steve is leading a national movement in competitive socialising.

Three Ballers venues are currently open across Melbourne and Adelaide, with more venues set to open soon in Brisbane, Hobart and Geelong.

With a focus on digital-based assets in hospitality and experience-led venues, Stephen will be joining two panels: The Ideal Tech Stack; and The Crucial Role of Entertainment.

Sabrina Medcalf

In leadership roles at groups like Odd Culture Group, Sabrina has curated everything from one-off events to ongoing live music programs that not only attract crowds but also foster lasting community connections. Sabrina is hands-on in discovering emerging talent and maintaining strong industry relationships, always balancing creative vision with practical considerations like budgets, licensing, and logistics. This blend of passion, industry knowledge, and operational expertise allows Sabrina to craft entertainment experiences that truly resonate.

Sabrina will be speaking on the panel on The Crucial Role of Entertainment.

Julie-Anne Whitfield

Julie-Anne joined “R U OK?” in 2018 as a volunteer community ambassador and was appointed to the full-time role of Workplace Program Manager in May 2022. She comes from a Leadership and Management Training background.

Julie-Anne’s role is to lead the management of workplace strategies and resource creation to increase R U OK?’s reach, engagement, participation and the effectiveness of the R U OK? Workplace Champions Program to build an R U OK? culture in workplaces all year round.

She engages with workplaces to provide strong understanding and in-depth insights to the challenges faced to implement culture change.

Julie-Anne will be speaking on Leadership wellbeing: Preventing burnout at the top.
