Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs will welcome a new venue in October with The Beekeeper pub set to open in Bondi.

The new local is the brainchild of Northern Hospitality, which is the same team behind Chuck Trailer’s Bondi and CBD, and the now-closed Neighbourhood.

At the core of the offering will be British staples including a ploughman’s lunch, Scotch eggs, gammon dinners, fish and chips, and Sunday roasts with all the trimmings.

Owners Ben Campbell and Brendan Darcy said the venue will be open seven days a week for lunch and dinner.

“We want The Beekeeper to be the heart of the local community, a place where people come together over a proper pint and a warm welcome,” they said.

“The name The Beekeeper is a tip of the hat to Manchester’s famous worker bee, a symbol of hard work and community.”

British beverages will also be central to the experience with seasonal hand-pulled ales pouring alongside $10 mini martinis and Guinness.

The Beekeeper is housed in the heritage-listed Fellworth Flats at 45 Hall Street, built around 1910.

The sandstone property also retains many original features including sash windows, pressed metal ceilings and a working fireplace.

The build is due to be completed by early October with the first pints set to be poured a few weeks later.
