Three Pound Group is nearing completion on its greenfield pub build, The White Horse Tavern, promising to be a venue that locals will return to time and time again.
Located 46 kilometres south of Perth in the suburb of Baldivis, The White Horse Tavern is designed to cater to the growing community. On the ground floor, the venue comprises a main public bar and an expansive light-filled alfresco area where pets are welcome. Atop the main tavern sits The Mezz, a semi-private space complete with its own bar and facilities, ideal for events.
Tim McLernon, general manager of Three Pound Group, told Australian Hotelier: “We’ve designed The White Horse Tavern to feel like a real local from the moment you walk in, but with the same CBD attention to detail that we bring to all our other pubs around Perth. We’ve got plenty of space for everyone and want it to be a welcoming venue where people want to come back again and again.”
The White Horse Tavern has been built with sports fans in mind – a giant central screen makes for optimum sports viewing, complemented by multiple big-screen TVs spread around the venue showing everything from footy finals to international sports matches.
The food and beverage offering has been carefully curated to appeal to families, with a local-first philosophy that heroes fresh ingredients and seasonal WA produce. Patrons will find the usual pub favourites on the menu, such as chicken parmis, burgers and woodfired pizzas, alongside a selection of bar bites and grazing platters designed to share. For more substantial meals, the grill offers a choice of ribs, cutlets and steaks. Children are also catered to with a dedicated kids’ menu.
McLernon added: “The White Horse is all about creating a welcoming spot for everyone. We’ve focused on a menu that celebrates seasonal WA produce, great drinks, and spaces that cater for everything from casual drinks to milestone celebrations. It’s a place that feels familiar and inviting, designed to bring the local community together.”
Conveniently located beside Stargate Shopping Centre and Spires Estate Playground, The White Horse Tavern also benefits from a connected Thirsty Camel drive-through bottle shop, making it an easy spot to drop into.
The venue, which opens late October, is the latest from Three Pound Group, whose portfolio includes Perth pubs The Camfield and The Elford, alongside three-storey bar and restaurant The Reveley, CBD oasis The Stables Bar and casual drinking and dining spot Good Company Bar.
