Momento Hospitality, based in Sydney’s north-west, has been named one of Westpac’s Top 200 businesses in Australia for 2018.
Westpac’s Businesses of Tomorrow program recognises and rewards companies that have a vision to shape Australia’s future within their industries. This is the second year of the program.
The 200 Businesses of Tomorrow are chosen based on criteria such as their business purpose, contribution to customers and the community, current strength and vision for the future. Momento Hospitality is the only pub group to be named within the Top 200 businesses in 2018.
At the core of Momento’s appeal in the program selection is a service strategy known as ‘The Momento Way’ – a company-wide ethos around how all team members within the Momento group are expected to approach customer service. The strategy is driven by the Momento Mission, which is “Bringing people together to create great memories.”
As part of the Businesses of Tomorrow program Westpac have released the Westpac Businesses of Tomorrow Connections Report, by Lonergan Research, that suggests that 75 per cent of business leaders believe their companies cannot survive without professional networks. The report also found that on average business leaders attribute almost a fifth (17.7 per cent) of revenue to their business connections.
As such, the Top 200 winners – including Momento Hospitality – will have access through the program to a wealth of knowledgeable mentors, including former Westpace CEO, Gail Kelly; Airtasker CEO and founder, Tim Fung; and Mecca CEO and founder, Jo Horgan.
“There are measurable benefits to our nation in driving connectivity amongst Australian businesses. Supporting businesses that deliver tangible results to the community and giving them a new platform for connectivity will make a real and substantial contribution to Australia’s economy,” said Bernard Salt, an advocate for the Businesses of Tomorrow program.
Momento Hospitality will now participate in a three-day in-residence course created for the Businesses of Tomorrow program by Melbourne Business School.
This comes off the back of a busy couple of weeks for the group, having sold The Australian Hotel and Brewery to Redcape, and opening The Governor in Macquarie Park this week.
