100 years of the National Restaurant Association expo are celebrated in Chicago this year
It’s often said that in hospitality, it happens in the US first. In that vein, the AHA VIC are looking to get ahead of the curve by undertaking another trip to one of the world’s biggest hospitality expos in May in Chicago. You can be there too.
The aim of the 2019 Progressive Hospitality Network is for the 30 attendees to discover the trends and the players in hospitality most likely to influence the Australian pub scene in the coming months and years.
The National Restaurant Association Show 2019 – celebrating 100 years this year – will be showcasing thought leaders, technology solutions and guest speakers along with networking opportunities and some space for blue sky thinking.
The five-day trip kicks off with a day and a half at the National Restaurant Association’s yearly exhibition, a centre-piece of the trip, but also includes some intimate industry experiences.
These include time with leading multiple-venue operator HogSalt, including site visits to 3 Greens Market, Bavette’s Bar & Boeuf, Doughnut Vault and Radio Anago, wrapping up with a private dinner at the exclusive speakeasy Gilt Bar.
There will also be visits with CUB parent company AB Inbev’s progressive craft beer label Goose Island Brewery along with Letherbee Gin Distillery.
Tour guests will also visit the iconic Wrigley Field, followed by beers and hot dogs in the bleachers watching the Cubs and the Phillies.
