After a $4.5 million renovation, the Burleigh Town Hotel has been re-opened today by Australian Venue Co (AVC) after a six-month renovation.
The Gold Coast venue has had a significant overhaul, re-focusing the pub into an entertainment hub for everyone, with a revitalised family-friendly bistro, sports bar, gaming room and a new beer garden and kids’ playground. The hotel had been closed since 9 May.
The Burleigh expansive beer garden and adjoining kid’s playground is predicted to make the venue a favourite for families in the area, who can eat a meal and have their kids entertained for hours.
The hero of the sports bar is the state-of-the-art 11-metre screen, one of the largest pub screens in South-East Queensland, plus a suspended cylinder screen ensuring perfect viewing from every vantage point for live-sport action within the space.
The new entertainment zone features a stage for guests to enjoy live music and the hotel is looking forward to hosting touring acts and supporting local performers.
The new bistro offers classic Australian pub fare, such as schnitzels, salads, burgers and steaks, while also showcasing a range of wood-fired pizzas, with the hand-stretched dough made in-house. A snack menu will be available in the sports bar, with sausage rolls, rissoles and more.
“It’s a gamechanger on the Gold Coast. We’re so excited to welcome local families, friends and sports fans to the next chapter of Burleigh Town Hotel,” says venue manager Kim Moore.
To celebrate the re-opening, Burleigh Town Hotel will host a weekend of celebrations from 25-27 November which will include complimentary canapes, a Stone & Wood beer garden pop-up, and a Tradie Club Smoker giveaway. For the kids, there will be a live reptile show on the Sunday, as well as free ice cream and face painting.
The overhaul of the Burleigh Town Hotel continues AVC’s sizeable investment in the Queensland pub landscape, which has seen the group complete renovations on hotels including Coomera Lodge Hotel, Cleveland Sands Hotel, The Crown Hotel in Lutwyche, Bribie Island Hotel, Boomerang Hotel in Mackay, Kings Beach Hotel in Caloundra, Beenleigh Tavern in Logan and The Wallaby Hotel in Mudgeeraba.
