Voting officially closes next Friday 17 August, so pub operators, managers and suppliers are encouraged to vote and have your opinion heard across a variety of categories.
Hundreds of people from all over Australia have voted in the Australian Liquor Industry Awards (ALIAs), but there is still time to nominate pubs from across the country – as well as your favourite suppliers – for a whole range of on-premise awards.
Awards include specialised categories such as Best Sports Venue, Best Beer List and Best Venue Renovation. A new category will also be awarded this year – Best Live Music Venue – in recognition of the resurgence of live music as a form of entertainment that pubs are focusing on. Staff are also recognised at the ALIAs, through awards such as Bar Manager of the Year and Bar Team of the Year.
The major awards of the night include Publican of the Year, Hotel of the Year, Hotel Group Operator of the Year and On-Premise Supplier of the Year.
There are two stages to ALIA voting. Stage one is open now to all members of the Australian liquor industry, so simply head to the ALIA website now to vote. The finalists in all categories are determined by the highest number of votes, once voting closes on 17 August. Stage two then sees all finalists in all categories judged by a selection panel made up of senior industry representatives.
Have your say now as to the most dynamic pubs and staff across Australia now.
The ALIAs will be held on Wednesday 31 October at Royal Randwick in Sydney. The awards will have a Halloween theme. Book your tickets to the industry’s most entertaining and comprehensive night of the year, now.
