AHA (Vic) has launched a new statewide patron survey that will help better understand the current needs and preferences of pub patrons.

The Australian Hotels Association (Vic) is launching a first-of-its-kind statewide survey to better understand the preferences and needs of patrons across our state. The initiative is part of AHA (Vic)’s State of the Industry Report, which will be released later this year.

The survey will provide valuable insights to help venues and the industry better serve the public as a whole.

AHA (Vic) is calling on all Victorian hospitality venues to participate in promoting the survey to their patrons, whether they’re a member of the association or not.

Matt Dawson, general manager of corporate and public affairs at AHA (Vic), is leading the survey campaign.

“This is a powerful opportunity to hear directly from patrons about what makes their local pub special. From meals to music, beer to bingo, the survey captures the changing expectations of the people who walk through our doors every day,” stated Dawson.

Venues can sign up to receive the free promotional materials and support this important industry initiative.

“We’re urging every venue to get involved by ordering a free survey pack. The coasters and posters make it easy to promote the survey in-venue, and the more responses we collect, the stronger our understanding of what patrons want from their local,” stated Dawson.

“These insights don’t just help individual venues, they will help the entire industry. The better we understand what matters to our patrons, the better equipped we are to advocate, innovate, and keep pubs at the heart of Victorian life.”

The survey will close on 19 September, with results published in AHA (Vic)’s State of the Industry Report later in the year.
