ALH managing director Mario Volpe has announced that the group’s publicans will be eligible to take part in the Endeavour Group Recognition Share Plan, which rewards them with share rights in ALH’s parent company.
The initiative was announced publicly on LinkedIn, noting that publicans are the beating heart of venues, and that they drive the success of the pub. It is one of a number of initiatives in place to recognise and reward ALH team members.
“We understand the importance of rewarding and recognising our teams,” said ALH Group managing director, Mario Volpe.
“Our venue managers are the pulse of our pubs, integral to the strong sense of team within our venues and the strong connections each venue has with their local communities.
“So we’re pleased to reward our venue managers via eligibility to participate in the Endeavour Group Recognition Share Plan.”
Eligibility to the Recognition Share Plan commences from the current financial year (FY23).
Endeavour Group shared its FY22 financial and operating results yesterday, with ALH Hotels doing particularly well. After a difficult start to the financial year due to lockdowns, the second half of FY22 showed a major bounceback, with results for the pub group up 7.3 per cent on the second half of FY19.
