Australian Hotelier and National Liquor News, sister publications of TheShout, have upped their newsletter frequency from fortnightly to weekly in 2025.
The new schedule will see Australian Hotelier and National Liquor News deliver you a mix of the latest up-to-date news within the pub and retail liquor industries, alternating with longer analytical pieces or profiles on the people and topics shaping the industry.
Australian Hotelier News will continue to bring you the latest pub sales, renovations, appointments and the like within industry, while once every four weeks Australian Hotelier Dispatch will bring you a single, more in-depth analysis, thinkpieces, or profiles on the people and issues shaping our industry.
Dispatch will kick off tomorrow with a piece on the four-year endeavour Craig Shearer and Kickon Group have undertaken to create a permanent beer garden for the Terminus, and what it’s taught Shearer about the best ways to bring local residents along the journey when embarking on new hotel plans.
Alternating with Dispatch will be Australian Hotelier Tech, looking at one topic within the complex and ever-evolving world of technology and its uses and implications within venues. From AI usage to customer data, the Tech newsletter will bring you the latest case studies and insights from within the industry.
“There’s a broad spectrum in pubs all across Australia, but all are sophisticated and dynamic enterprises. There’s always plenty of news to share, as well as topics up for debate and discussion, so it felt right to up our newsletter content once a week,” stated Australian Hotelier managing editor Vanessa Cavasinni.
National Liquor News will also double its newsletter output, with National Liquor News Broadcast continuing to bring you the latest up-to-date goings-on of the industry, from product news, category trends and retail strategy, while National Liquor News Insights will bring you in depth analysis on trends and opinion pieces from industry experts that will help you to run a successful liquor retail business.
Insights will kick off tomorrow with a piece from Circana on finding growth in the future of retail. In 2025, retail growth hinges on digital investment, consumer trends, AI, personalised experiences, and circular strategies, and Circana explores how retailers can best navigate this competitive new landscape.
Alternating with Insights will be National Liquor News Leaders, where we will unlock success strategies by learning from retailers at the top of their game. This monthly newsletter will feature exclusive interviews with liquor retailers who are excelling in their fields, giving readers the inspiration and tools they need to excel.
“As the liquor industry continues to evolve, it’s crucial for our readers to stay ahead of emerging trends and developments. Through National Liquor News Broadcast, Insights and Leaders, we’re excited to bring these fresh, valuable perspectives to our industry, and we’re confident they’ll help our readers thrive in 2025 and beyond,” said Deb Jackson, managing editor of National Liquor News.
