Australian Venue Co (AVC) has commenced its huge $4.5m renovation of Gold Coast, Burleigh Town Tavern, which will see the entire venue transformed, the footprint expanded and the venue open under a new name, Burleigh Town Hotel, later this year.
The revitalised open-plan family bistro will feature a menu of Queensland produce, pub classics and share plates. On weekends and pop-ups events, guests will be invited to enjoy delicious smoked and woodfired grill dishes from the outdoor smoker and grill.
“Burleigh Town Tavern was due a refresh but we wanted to make the pub the best in the area, for both locals and visitors,” said AVC’s COO Craig Ellison.
“We are investing a significant amount of money into the venue to not only transform all of the spaces but the expand the footprint significantly to cater to more guests both indoors and outdoors. When the pub re-opens later this year under the new name Burleigh Town Hotel, we know that it will be a place locals are proud of and visitors want to visit.”
The renovation will also see a mega screen installed, for sports fans to enjoy, as well as a live entertainment area, with a stage and band room to help make the pub a major venue for live entertainment.
The gaming room will continue to trade as usual at the start of the renovations before also seeing an expansion to become best in class.
The Burleigh Town Hotel renovation is part of a move by Australian Venue Co to revitalise pubs across Queensland and return the pubs to the local community by improving the design, fit out & offering. Recent renovations include Gold Coast pub The Wallaby Hotel, Crown Hotel (Lutwyche), Bribie Island Hotel, Boomerang Hotel (Mackay), Beenleigh Tavern (Beenleigh), Salisbury Hotel beer garden and the upcoming re-opening of Dunwoody’s Hotel (Cairns).
The new-look Burleigh Town Hotel will cater for up to 1500 customers.
