Burgers By Josh, one of Sydney’s most popular nomadic burger joints, will be taking over the kitchens of Hotel William in Sydney’s CBD, for a two-month installation.

In a sign that the burger craze has no intentions of dying down in Sydney, Hotel William has joined forces with Burgers By Josh, last seen at The Annandale Hotel, for a two-month residency. The installation will launch today, 8 June, in one of the Laundy Hotel Group’s Sydney CBD venues.

The kitchen will be run by Burgers By Josh owner, Josh Arthurs, while front of house and the bar will still be run by hotel management. The menu will remain simple, with three core burgers, onion rings, fries with a signature sauce, and popcorn chicken. Hotel William’s beverage offering will complement the burger menu, with many craft beers on tap.

Temporary kitchen takeovers are becoming increasingly popular in Sydney, with Cheekyburger, another Sydney burger institution, setting up shop in The Chippendale Hotel six months ago. The initial plan was for that takeover to last three months, but it has proven popular enough to continue its partnership with the pub.
