Chris Gatfield will take on the role of general manager of the Australian Hotels Association (AHA) ACT, starting today.
Gatfield will bring his broad-ranging hospitality and hotel experience to the role, gathered through decades of hospitality management, as well as in previous roles such as relations manager for Diageo and senior roles with AHA NSW.
Gatfield is looking forward to the role.
“Canberra has a world-class hospitality scene, which I have been lucky enough to enjoy with friends and family over many years. I’m thrilled to have the chance to help shape this wonderful industry over the exciting years to come,” he said.
As well as holding the position of general manager of AHA ACT, Gatfield will continue in the role of AHA NSW director of government and industry affairs.
AHA ACT president Michael Capezio welcomed Gatfield to the role.
“Chris is the perfect person to help the association chart its future course and I look forward to working together to make Canberra an even better hospitality experience for both members and their patrons.”
