The boutique accommodation hotel at Coogee Bay Hotel in Sydney’s eastern suburbs is currently undergoing a $6 million upgrade.
The accommodation offering at C!NC’s flagship hotel was last renovated in 2008. This new iteration will deliver indulgent rooms that will appeal to a variety of users.
“We are excited to be investing in a new and innovative hotel offering, welcoming guests while reinvigorating Coogee as a destination for leisure and corporate travellers,” said Kun Rahadian, general manager accommodation and sales at Coogee Bay Hotel.
“An important part of our business is conferencing and events. To have upgraded accommodation rooms will provide a more compelling offer to our conferencing clients from around Australia.
“Renovating the hotel both physically and with upgraded in-room offerings, we plan on delivering extraordinary guest experiences each and every time and are looking forward to re-introducing ourselves to new and existing guests starting from the end of this year.”
The renovation will see the hotel’s 23 Heritage Rooms completed with a bright and modern-beachside aesthetic. These rooms will pay homage to the hotel’s 146-year history through a photo collection. The 23 rooms include four suites overlooking Coogee Beach. The Heritage Rooms are Phase One of the project and will be ready to launch mid-December.
Phase Two will be the overhaul of 51 Boutique Rooms: oversized modern-classic rooms, complete with kitchenette, extensive storage and private balcony. These are expected to be completed by mid-2020.
The design of the rooms has been taken on by ID Studios, which positions the hotel as a fun and relaxed choice for people wanting to stay near the beach.
“The main focus for us during the design process with Coogee Bay Hotel was to incorporate a beach vibe into the new design while still taking into account the heritage of the building and its surroundings,” said Vera McElroy, director of ID Studios.
“We came up with a very personalised feeling that is retro chic, unexpected and playful, while set in a beautiful coastal environment. All consideration was given to guest amenities, leaving a great end result with unique design of texture and colourful finishes throughout.”
The rooms of the boutique hotel will also benefit from a technology upgrade and creature comforts, with a new smartphone concierge and free high-speed WiFi, as well as a new in-room dining menu.
Coinciding with the official launch of the completed Coogee Bay Boutique Hotel in mid-2020, will be the introduction of a guest loyalty program and new website which will offer incentives for guests to book directly with the hotel.
