Comiskey Group has shared a first look at its plans for the Dakabin Hotel with the release of artist impressions, along with the announcement of an indoor basketball court at the venue.
The $35m Dakabin Hotel development is due for completion mid-to-late 2024, housing a restaurant with both indoor and outdoor dining, a sports bar with TAB, a gaming room, a large kids room with an indoor basketball court and several other surprises that are yet to be announced.
With the development well underway, director David Comiskey has confirmed that structural work is set to begin at the Dakabin Hotel any day now.
“The earthworks are nearing completion and we will commence the concrete footings very soon. In just a few months Dakabin Hotel will start to take shape and the progress should be exciting to watch.
“We had been working on the design of the development for over a year, we put a lot of effort into it and so we were very eager to release the artist impressions when they were complete. It’s great to finally be able to show the community what we have planned.
“We hope you can see by the quality of the build that we have made every effort to deliver a world-class venue to Dakabin for all to enjoy.”
Situated on 3.75 hectares of land on the corner of Alma and Old Gympie Road, the Dakabin Hotel development will be accompanied by a $15m on-site shopping precinct.
According to director Rob Comiskey, the group has received a large number of leasing enquiries with some multi-national tenants already confirmed, including Guzman Y Gomez, KFC, Zarraffa’s and a NightOwl service station.
“Dakabin is a massive growth area, not to mention its close proximity to the thriving North Lakes community, it really is a great opportunity for leasing.
“Our Dakabin development is in a high profile location on the main road, offering great visibility right opposite Woolworths. We do have a few tenancies left and we are looking for businesses that will be well suited to the area, if you think that’s you then by all means get in touch.”
The Dakabin Hotel update follows the announcement of the latest addition to Comiskey Group’s portfolio, the Imperial Hotel in Eumundi. Adding to the group’s Sunshine Coast presence, the Imperial Hotel is a landmark destination located across from the famous Eumundi Markets.
