From 29 June, venues will be able to broadcast Power Slap, a new competition from the creators of UFC that has been gaining great attention over social media from MMA and contact sport fans.

Entain Live has entered into an agreement with Power Slap for the exclusive commercial broadcasting rights for Australia and New Zealand for all Power Slap events, operated by Entain Venues.

Entain Venues Managing Director Mark Sturdy said the agreement with Power Slap is a huge opportunity, with the sport continuing to surge in popularity.

“The following Power Slap has is mind-blowing – it’s already taking on, and eclipsing in most cases, the major American sports on social media.

“The momentum UFC has gained over the past 25 years has been undeniable, and we see Power Slap as an exciting new sporting code in this part of the world. We are incredibly grateful that Power Slap has given us the opportunity to build the Power Slap brand and accessibility via commercial venues in Australia and New Zealand,” Sturdy concluded.

Power Slap president Frank Lamicella commented on the deal, saying: “We’re excited to partner with Entain Venues in Australia and New Zealand. Power Slap content is incredible for bars and for sports bettors, making this partnership with Entain Venues a perfect match for the region.”

Power Slap, founded by Dana White in partnership with UFC, features the best slap fighters in the world competing to showcase their power, technique and resolve.

With more than 15 million followers across social media, and views of Power Slap content on social media reaching seven billion since its launch in January 2023, Power Slap is growing in popularity and reaching sporting audiences across the globe.

The Entain Live broadcast of Power Slap launches with Power Slap 8: Da Crazy Hawaiian vs. Danie van Heerden, which will be broadcast live in venues at 11am AEST on Saturday 29 June.

A number of Entain Venues pub and club partners will be broadcasting Power Slap 8 this weekend. Fans can find those venues on SportsPick.
