Feros Group will run Bingara Gorge Country Club, a $50 million, 7280sqm Metro Property Group development next to a golf course in the emerging master-planned community in Wilton, an hour south-west of Sydney. Metro has already lodged a development application with Wollondilly Shire Council for the contemporary leisure and entertainment amenity.
Designed by award-winning Sydney design practice, H&E Architects, the modern pavilions-style venue is expected to accommodate between 800-1000 people and will comprise a family bistro and bar, large outdoor kids play area, beer garden, sports bar and multiple function spaces. The ground floor building will total 2473sqm, including 600sqm of function space, and 2657sqm of outdoor floor area.
The Bingara Gorge Country Club is expected to attract those flocking to the greenfields Bingara Gorge residential development, where the average age of Wilton and Wollondilly residents is 34-37. The Wollondilly area is an hour from Sydney and half an hour from Wollongong, with Feros Group expecting visitation from both.
“Whether it is for an intimate dinner, family lunch with kids, an informal catch-up with a group of friends or a beer after a round of golf, the Country Club will be a place where everyone can enjoy themselves,” said Chris Feros, CEO of Feros Group.
Bingara Gorge’s Country Club is set to become ‘the meeting place’ for Wollondilly residents, said Luke Hartman, managing director at Metro Property Development.
“Feros Group, a very experienced Sydney hotelier will provide a superior dining and entertainment experience for residents and guests,” he said.
The Country Club forms an integral part of Bingara Gorge’s masterplan, already featuring a Graham Marsh-designed, 18-hole golf course and modern recreational facilities including a gym, tennis courts and swimming pools.
Subject to DA, completion is expected late 2024. Bingara Gorge covers 450ha and will feature 1800 homes when complete. More than 2000 residents now live in the community which features the golf course, playgrounds, tennis courts, walk and cycle paths, leisure centre, retail shops, childcare and primary school will feature in the development.
Feros Group already counts The Prince at Kirrawee, Public House, Taren Point Hotel and The Berry Hotel, among others, in its portfolio.
