Several sessions of the 2018 Pub Leaders Summit conference have been revealed, as well as many operators and industry participants who will take part in various sessions.
The conference program will run the gamut of hotel operations, with sessions as varied as data and how to use it, growing your group in one area, and the place of wine in a pub’s beverage offering.
The speaker line-up – like the sessions themselves – reflects the diverse nature of pub businesses, with industry heavyweights such as Ray Reilly (Reilly Group), Justine Baker (Solotel), and Jaz Mooney (Pelathon) taking part alongside single venue operators such as Kasie Ferguson of the Railway Hotel Parkes and Marty Secheny of Bidwill Hotel.

There’s a good mix of metropolitan and regional operators also, with the likes of Marcello Colosimo of Momento Hospitality – based in Sydney’s north-west – and Craig Power of the Pub Group Tamworth sharing their different experiences.
As a national summit, interstate operators are also taking part in the Pub Leaders Summit, with Annette Verhoeff of Red Rock Leisure representing the national hospitality group; Jackie Booth, COO of Zagame Corporation sharing her experiences with one of Victoria’s most respected hotel groups; and Mandy Collins of The Lady Daly in Adelaide sharing her strategies to promote her F&B offering.
In a new feature for the Pub Leaders Summit, in the middle section of the day the conference will branch off into two streams that will run concurrently, allowing attendees to choose between the most relevant sessions for their businesses. Operators can choose between a session on the modern gaming offering and new opportunities in food; a session on creating venue identity and the ins and outs of running a brewpub; and more.
With a few more sessions still to be announced, along with several other speakers, the Pub Leaders Summit is shaping up to be another fruitful and informative day for the pub industry.
