Historic Blue Mountains pub the Grand View Hotel has been sold, adding to the growing portfolio of publican Trevor Stanton.
Ideally located on a 4,074 sqm corner site in Wentworth Falls along the Great Western Highway, the historic pub dates back to 1883, making it one of the region’s most recognisable pubs and well positioned to serve the steady flow of visitors to the Blue Mountains.
While heritage is central to its charm, the Grand View Hotel underwent a complete renovation in recent years, bringing in modern amenities. The pub offers diverse revenue streams across food and beverage, gaming and accommodation. It comprises a central bar and lounge, bistro and alfresco dining supported by a large commercial kitchen, nine gaming machine entitlements, 19 high-quality accommodation rooms and extensive off-street parking. The venue also incorporates a newly developed bottle shop with potential drive-through access.
Stanton – who also owns Jack Duggan’s Irish Pub in Bathurst, another longstanding venue that has seen several renovations – acquired the pub for an undisclosed amount.
Leonard Bongiovanni, director of Manenti Quinlan & Associates, who handled the transaction, commented: “The Grand View is a truly iconic Blue Mountains pub with multiple income streams and a high standard of presentation. We congratulate Trevor on this strategic addition to his portfolio and look forward to watching the hotel continue to thrive under his ownership.”
