The Colosimo family have officially branded their operations as Momento Hospitality, with the Sydney’s Hills district as its hub.
Operations for The Australian Hotel & Brewery, Bella Vista Hotel and Hillside Hotel have been unified under the new group brand, with Marcello Colosimo at the helm as CEO.
“We haven’t had a group identity before, so we wanted to establish an identity for both our employed community and also externally. We wanted our community to understand who we ar and what we stand for, not just as individual hotels,” explained Colosimo.
Having had operations in the area since 1976, the Colosimo family behind Momento Hospitality continue to champion hospitality in the area.
“Our philosophy has always been to treat customers the way you wanted to be treated. We want to help create lasting memories for The Hills by building environments that can be enjoyed by the whole family, and giving back to the community through generating new opportunities for the district.”
As part of that push, Momento will soon launch the Hospitality Institute of NSW, a tertiary education facility focused on education and training for the industry. Meanwhile, the Momento Foundation provides assistance to young, underprivileged and at-risk members of the Hlls region, enagaging with more than 30 community initiatives. It has supported the Lisa Harnum Foundation, The Sanctuary and ONE80TC in a bid to eliminate domestic violence and provide refuge. It also supports local sports, education and environmental programs.
“We hope that by actively giving back, we always maintain our position at the very heart of what inspires our hospitality ventures – the community.”
Momento Hospitality will open The Governor, a two-storey venue in Macquarie Park in mid-2018. The ground floor will focus an up-scale public bar and restaurant on the ground floor, and a rooftop bar with an Asian influence will sit on the first floor. Two other venues are in the works for the Hills region, including a high-end restaurant with attached distillery and cocktail bar; and a neighbourhood bar with a focus on craft beer and smoked meat.
