On Tuesday night, Momento Hospitality hosted the official launch event of Oran Park Hotel, with all three levels of the south-western Sydney pub now open.

The first stage of Oran Park Hotel – ground-floor bistro, atrium, sports bar, gaming room and takeaway pizza – opened at the beginning of the year, with the rooftop bar an restaurant and Jinja following a couple of months ago. Now, with the first floor offerings of two boutique cinemas, a cinema bar, the ballroom and smaller function spaces open, all levels of the pub are now complete.

Oran Park Hotel encapsulates 7500 sqm of indoor and outdoor space over three levels. It services a relatively new community in south-western Sydney that currently has 20,000 residents with a lot more development to occur in the coming years.

At the official launch event, Momento Hospitality executive chairman Marcello Colosimo called the Oran Park Hotel “the most ambitious hotel project in Australia” and one that had the local community’s future in mind.

“This is one of the fastest growing corridors in the country, and with that growth obviously brings opportunity and responsibility. We’re proud to do our part to create places where people can connect, and communities can grow and create memories, somewhere locals are proud to call their own,” stated Colosimo.

“This is a venue that’s built for the future, not just in scale, but in spirit.

“The venue was designed to welcome everyone. Ninety-eight per cent of our staff are local. With over 150 staff, locals serving locals, it’s very important for us. Coupled with our dedication to training, we assure this will continue in the future.”

Colosimo spoke about Momento Hospitality’s long-term ambitions and commitment to the local community within Oran Park.

“It’s also about pushing the boundaries of what a modern Australian pub can be. It’s a venue that respects tradition, but also looks to the future. We can blend some old school warmth with a great local feeling, scale and versatility that this community deserves… It’s a symbol of our belief in the region. We’re not here for the short term. We’re invested for the people, the potential in the future of Oran Park and this area.”

Angus Taylor, Federal MP for Hume; and Tanya Davies, state MP for Badgerys Creek; with Taylor stating that “the facility was just extraordinary” and Davies commenting that “this built environment here is another outworking of that vision for the people that call Oran Park their home. This is a place that will be a destination.”

Both representatives joined Colosimo for the ribbon cutting, as well as the Perich family – local owners and developers of the land that now constitutes Oran Park – as well as members of the Wagner and Nasser families, also involved in the Oran Park Hotel project.
