Mantle Group will open a Pig ‘N’ Whistle in mid-April in Redbank Plains, their seventh in the greater Brisbane area.
This latest Pig ‘N’ Whistle pub, in the Ipswich area, will be one of the largest yet. It occupies 1330 sqm in the new Town Square Shopping Centre, and includes a large outdoor dining area, bar, restaurant and gaming room.
Pig ‘N’ Whistle Redbank Plains is the first of the branded venues to offer gaming, with Mantle Group owners Godfrey and Jenny Mantle, identifying the business stream as something to invest in when first designing the venue, as several other hotels in the area offer gaming. The new gaming room contains 39 eGMs, and will be open 10am-4am every day.
The bistro will continue to offer Pig ‘N’ Whistle’s signature British gastropub cuisine, with dishes like Lincolnshire sausages and fish and chips using Atlantic cod on the menu. A Radar Hill smoker and a wood-fired rotisserie oven have also been installed in the premises
Arj Rupesinghe, CEO of Mantle Group, wanted to ensure that the high-quality of Pig ‘N’ Whistle venues was brought to the suburbs.
“Redbank Plains residents want to dine out and have a good time, without needing to travel too far. The pub will be a new offering in the area with quality dining, craft beer and a lively atmosphere. We believe Pig ‘N’ Whistle will be great for the Ipswich community.”
Rupesinghe states the need for another quality pub in the area has been evident on social media in the lead-up to the opening.
“There has been growing anticipation about the opening of Pig ‘N’ Whistle Redbank Plains, with many Ipswich residents turning to Facebook to express their excitement and eagerness for the new venue to open its doors.”
