Australian Hotelier is pleased to announce the return of the Pub Leaders Summit, which will be held on Monday 22 March 2021.
The 2021 summit will be held in Sydney at Doltone House Darling Island, Pyrmont. However, for the first time, operators can choose to attend the event live in person or view the Summit online, with the day’s program to also be live-streamed.
Like most trade events this year, the 2020 summit was cancelled due to the COVID crisis. After a historically tough year for the industry, the 2021 Summit aims to help operators build on the momentum of the growing summer trade, to help venues continue the recovery and return to healthy balance sheets.
“Not only is the Pub Leaders Summit the perfect tool to help industry peers come together and share ideas on boosting their business, but it’s also a representation of the renewed confidence in the sector,” said Pub Leaders Summit founder Paul Wootton.
Operators are also enthusiastic for the return of the event, with much of the program revealed already. Panellists and presenters throughout the day include such well respected operators as Chris Cheung (C.Inc), Marcello Colosimo (Momento Hospitality), Jen Russell (W. Short Hospitality) and Jason Bush (Merivale).
Interstate operators will appear via live-stream, such as Melissa Porter of Porters Plainland Hotel in regional Queensland. Porter will be discussing the award-winning sustainability practices implemented at her family’s hotel.
Sustainability will be one major topic of the day’s program, as well as F&B, gaming, retail offerings and more. Throughout the day, recovery from a tough trading year will be discussed throughout the day. With long-term recovery and a bounce-back in trade in mind, the 2021 Summit will be more crucial than ever in helping operators maximise their business.
