The Pub Leaders Summit will return to its Sydney home this year, after taking the expo interstate to Melbourne in 2019.

The Pub Leaders Summit, the national conference and expo for pub owners, operators and managers will be held on Monday 30 March at Doltone House, Darling Island in Pyrmont. Back for its fifth year, the Summit once more will be covering the topics of pertinent importance to hoteliers both in the day-to-day and long-term operations of their venues.

In partnership with platinum sponsor Intrust Super and gold sponsors JLL Hotels & Hospitality and Gage Roads, the conference will enlighten attendees on topics as varied as:

  • the renewed importance of an entertainment offering in attracting people out of their homes;
  • how to use market evidence when making decisions about your asset;
  • how F&B propositions are evolving in the face of consumption changes towards a healthier lifestyle;
  • the accrual and utilisation of data to in positioning your venue to remain competitive in its local area.

Futurist Phill Nosworthy will be delivering the keynote for the Summit, and speakers on the day include Kerri Glasscock (Sydney Fringe Festival/ Night Time Industries Association), Janenne Willis (Hotel Esplanade), John Musca (JLL), Stevan Premutico (me&u), Rose Kentish (Sparkke at the Whitmore) and Matt Rule (Music + Booze Co). Many more speakers will be announced in the coming weeks.

As a regular attendee, Matt Coorey, director of the Boardwalk Tavern on the Gold Coast and QHA’s 2019 Publican of the Year, always find it a useful tool to engage with other publicans, and find some of nuggets of wisdom that he can use in his own business.

“I love the Summit and have always found I get plenty out of it when I attend.”

Registrations for the 2020 Pub Leaders Summit will open next week. You can find more information on the event here.
